North Face Snowbaord Jackets – Great Quality for Your Dollar

25 01 2009

Do you want a jacket that is worth the money to invest? Well, The North Face Snowboard Jacket is money well spent. The rapport is unbelievably overwhelmingly repetitive. Everyone seems to have the same views comfortable, durable, lightweight, warm, breathable and waterproof. It can be worn for casual wear to camping wear. The descriptions given obviously outline that. As it comes highly recommended from yes, I will purchase a North Face Jacket again to yes, I would definitely recommend a North Face Snowboard Jacket to a friend. Wow! Enough said I am sold.

But than again I keep searching as I am a sceptic or a cautious consumer. Through my thorough research on the World Wide Web on various reviews (Epinions, Buzzillions) about the North Face Jacket I have found a flaw or two. One of those flaws is; the North Face Jacket is not great for windy days as the wind will pass on through. The other one is; the North Face Jacket it does not have enough pockets. Hmmmmmmmmm?????? Letís see, it is lightweight so by putting on a wind breaker underneath that will stop the wind from coming through. Problem solved. Not enough pockets? My common sense response would be: for casual wear, what is it that you plan on carrying with you? Identification? Money? Those would be a couple of items that comes to mind. How many pockets do you need in a North Face Jacket? Camping......again how many pockets would you need? When I think of camping, the first thing that comes to mind is a backpack, as a backpack is supposed to carry everything that you would require for personal use. Heck even hiking, a backpack is what is used to carry your supplies. Again, how many pockets would you really need in a jacket? Two? Three at most would be enough in a North Face Jacket.

The North Face Explosivo Jacket

My research has proven to me that the North Face Jacket is a great product to buy. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends. As it can be worn three out of the four seasons. The North Face Jacket is definitely money well spent. Nice, warm and fuzzy. The fleece jacket is the best on the market. It washes well and air dries quickly. Does not fit snugly and can be layered. What more can I say? Other than this product sells itself just by the reviews alone.

Burton Snowboard Jackets: A cut above the rest

22 01 2009

We all know Burton is one the most recognized and well respected brands in snowboard equipment and apparel. Is it any wonder their jackets are also so well received? After a good deal of research and my own personal experiences as well, the verdict is in: Burton Jackets rock.

As with many other clothiers, Burton doesn't just have a couple of jackets in their arsenal. The snowboard culture requires a little creativity when it comes to their gear and Burton certainly steps up to the plate. The designs range from the minimalistic to the outright bizarre. A jacket for every person and personality, you might say. The features and strengths are just as diverse. From women's jackets made to resemble petty coats and business outerwear, to more sturdy offerings that include multi liner inserts and gortex, there are simply so many choices at your disposal.

One of Burton's latest offerings is the "Defender" Snowboard jacket for men. This particular jacket offers micro fleece linings, as well as tapered seams with "Gore-Seam." While this jacket may not be the most appropriate offering for casual wear, it makes up for this with great durability, exceptional warmth and great resistance to wind - which one should expect from a snowboard jacket, in my humble opinion.

Attention: Burton Snowboards & Gear can be shipped only within the United States..Description of Burton Defender Snowboard Jacket Featuring Burton?s new DRYRIDE fabrication the Burton Defender puts an end to uncomfortable days on the mountain. No joke, o

But with every silver lining, a cloud is present. The cloud in this case would be the less-than-breathable fabric of the jacket, and the absence of pockets (not totally of course, but in this age of Blackberry's and iPhones, at least a few would do). In defence of the overall shortage of pockets, at least the ones that are present are very easy to access. The most common complaint though, would seem to be with the very micro fleece lining that makes this jacket so exceptionally warm and wind resistant. The lining itself doesn't zip into the jacket, which makes one have to perform a very awkward "double zip" when wearing the two pieces together - which would be most of the time considering the conditions the jacket is designed for. Although this is quite bothersome, the lining is quite stylish for casual wear on its own I must say.

The pros certainly outweigh the cons, and remember that this is only one of a plethora of jackets Burton produces. Make it a point to check out the Burton website to find some retailers near you. Once you have located your local Burton outfitter, read some reviews and find the best fit for you. With the number of offerings alone, I am certain one will be the perfect fit. Pun completely intended.

Oakley A Frame Goggle

People who go gaga over snowboarding go gaga over Oakley goggles. It is because only Oakley's obsession for creating the best goggles in the world can match the eyecare needs of those who have an obsession for the snowboarding sports. Out of its 25 years of being obsessed with goggle and sunglass technology, Oakley has come up with its 2007 selection of great goggles.

Oakley Wisdom Goggle Here's a word of wisdom for snowboarding freaks. The Oakley Wisdom Goggle is perhaps the most outstanding, leading goggle today. Travis Rice, Hugo Harrison, and Tanner Hall are wise enough to have them in their game and on their eyes, so you should be, too. When it comes to superb quality combined with slick styling, this goggle really gives you your money's worth. Do tricks either on the ski park or in the wild, maneuver through hard pack and trees, and glide over huge mountain plows; whatever snowboarding act you do, be wise enough to pick an Oakley Wisdom goggle. Maximize your performance because the Wisdom goggle performs best. Superior clarity and pressure toughness from a precisely set dual lens and the snug fit due to a 3-layered polar fleece face foam complete with moisture wicking -- these components are wisely combined in an Oakley Wisdom goggle. If those are not enough, then dig this: this pair has an F-3 Series anti-fog treatment with a vented design of dual lens and XYZ optics, providing clear vision at all angles.

Oakley Wisdom Goggle's protection and performance is even above the standards of ANSI Z87.1 / ASTM F659, and its durability is unquestionable with a pressure resistant O Matter chassis material. It also enhances contrast and reduces glare because of optional Iridium lens coating, and it is resistant to impact because of its tough Plutonite lens material. The Wisdom goggle provides 100%  protection of the eyes against UVA, UVB, UVC and hazardous blue light and performs with increased lens size to give a greater range in viewing. Its improved 3-D facial contour and flexible architecture and a convenient two-way strap for non-helmet or helmet choices provide a fit that can adapt to your size.

The Oakley XS O Frame Goggle

This leading Oakley Goggle features a cranial geometry that is reduced to fit the small-boned and the youth better. The secure yet comfortable fit of an adjustable, wide, and elastic strap, the cozy double-layer face foam provide give the Oakley XS O Frame goggle an oozing appeal meant to be worn while weaving through the X's and O's of the snowboarding terrain. Plus, it has the reliable fog reducing quality of vented dual lens combined with F-2 Series anti-fog treatment. It is flexible even in extreme weather conditions due to its urethane frame construction, and it is resistant to scratch because of its Lexan lens material. This material also provides excellent optical clarity together with a reduced glare from textured interior surface and tuned light transmission from a standard Persimmon lens tint.

The Oakley O Frame Goggle The Oakley O Frame goggle basically has the same features as the XS O: made of Lexan lenses that are resistant to scratch; gives 100% protection against UV and blue light; complies with ANSI Z87.1 impact resistance standards; with light yet durable urethane Oakley frames that fit perfectly to the eye shields; a standard Persimmon lens tint among others. The basic difference is that the XS O is especially made for smaller frames, however the same quality of Oakley performs for these two models.
